Announcing HodlerFolio - Easily track your cryptcurrency portfolio; single HTML file, no tracking you!
Hi there,
After a friend recommended Blockfolio to track my crypto portfolio, I did some research, and there were some questions as to whether it tracks you, because it does send your info to their servers. I decided to create an alternative that is open source, and doesn't track you, and can even run right from your desktop.
Presenting HodlerFolio!
For those who have not heard of the word "hodl": "Hodl" is an enthusiastic misspelling of Hold, prompting bitcoin users to avoid the temptation of selling off their coins once price starts rising. So https://hodlerfolio.com was born!
Features
- Open source
- You track your portfolio, no one tracks you
- Single HTML file, can run directly from your desktop
- Export/import from text file (coming soon)
- Over 1300 cryptos (more to come)

This is the main screen; just come back to this page whenever you want to check the value of your crypto:
This is an example of entering some SIA coin:
How To Use
To use, just go to the website and enter the crypto currency you would like to enter in the search box; once you find it, click on it, and then click on the plus sign next to the search box. Then enter the amount of that crypto that you own, and press "Hodl", and you will see it added to the list, with the current dollar amount (more fiat currencies are coming soon).
If you want to not run the file from the website, just save the html page to your desktop, and open it from there, it will still run fine, no server needed!
Not all of the features are operational yet, and there are many more coming, including graphing, history, and alerts.
Thank You and Follow Up

P.S. In case you haven't seen it, I have also developed a fantastic app called Steemir, that let's easily share your new YouTube videos on steemit.com to earn extra money and reach a new audience.
haha nice, I like the hodl button
looking good there mate.. will have to try it out!
:]
Thank you! I just added versioning so even if you run it from your desktop it will let you know if a new version was released
Nice website! Looks like a complete upgrade from blockfolio. I would much rather use something that doesn't track my porfolio. That's why I never put the actual amount I have into the blockfolio app.
Good to know! Let me know if you see any features you would like. I just added version checking if you are using in on your desktop, to let you know about updates. More features are coming soon.
Nice
This really is a very nice app @ steemir-app. It needs more attention. Maybe post more often?
I'm sure you've come across Utopian.io by now, but it might be a useful site for you as a developer.
Edit: I hope this didn't read too much like a bot comment. I really appreciate your work on the app.
This looks good. While it will work for coins you are HODLing, what will you do for the general trades.
You should checkout Cointracking Portfolio Manager.
It has
Are you planning to add these features or are you planning to keep it simple and HODLer centric only.
Wow, that looks fancy! I could add those features and may end up doing that. #4 though, wow, calculate your "taxes", ha ha. In real terms, what that means is some pedophile politician scribbled on paper that the government gang has a right to STEAL a portion of any profits you make, and if you don't pay the gang (because they wrote it down on paper), they will steal more from you; if you resist that theft, they will put you in a cage.. if you resist the caging, they will murder you. Hodler Folio already calculates how much anyone has the right to steal from any profits you make... ZERO. NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO STEAL MONEY FROM YOU.
As for #1, yes that's on the todo list, #2 would be nice to have also, #3 not sure what that means, and #5 that is on the todo list also. #4... REALLY? That's a feature? Crypto currency came about so that we can trade with each other without some looter gang of criminals (governments), stealing a portion of every trade; if you are going to pay theft on it, you may as well just use their fiat Federal Reserve USD toilet paper.. why use crypto at all?
