Holybread | new RPG style browsergame on Steem (Release: in January 2020)
It’s almost Christmas – the best time of the year for little surprises and great announcements. That’s why we decided to let you know, that a new game on Steem is coming soon. So enjoy the first impressions of Holybread – an RPG style browsergame on the Steem blockchain.
Once upon a time, in a land far far away, a little village was known all over the world for its powerful Holybread. It is told that heroes of that village had outrageous abilities. They were fast, strong and intelligent - always longing for the taste of the Holybread. It gave them unlimited power and made all their wishes come true. Is it just a fairytale, or a true legend?
What is Holybread?
As mentioned above, Holybread is an RPG style browsergame, where you own heroes, skill and level them and let them compete against others in the Arena. You will have to send your heroes on missions in order to level them up and earn some gold. Buy the best gear you can find in the Item Store for even more power as you climb to the top of the Arena ranking.
Explore the Market where you can buy and sell items and heroes. I have just very recently seen one of those desirable trashy tridents there…
Spending and earning REAL money
Holybread is fully free to play, although of course there are options to spend some Steem on very convenient and also helpful things. Bread is one of the ingame currencies. You will have to go to the Bakery to get some Bread (duh!). Bread allows you to recruit heroes, skip the regeneration time at the Arena and run faster on your missions. Steem you spend on Bread will partially be used to reward active players.
Breadcrumbs is another ingame curreny and for now its only purpose is to reward players. The higher your rank at the Arena, the higher your rewards on Breadcrumbs will be. You can trade Breadcrumbs on Steem Engine and we will use 50% of the revenues to buy back Breadcrumbs on a regular basis.
While exploring the world of Holybread, you will find items and heroes along your way. At the Market you can sell them for Steem to other players. Can it be any easier?
What will Holybread offer you in the future?
We have lots of ideas that we want to bring to life in Holybread. We will constantly work on new updates, more items and heroes, features such as guilds and dungeons and many more. We will add those to the game time after time, so it never gets old.
When will Holybread be released?
We just finished our first test round with some family and friends. In just a few days a new test round with some more players will start. In January 2020 Holybread will be accessible for everyone on Steem who uses Steem Keychain.
Here is the URL to the game: https://www.holybread.io/ (Currently the login function is deactivated, only invited test users are able to login. It will be open for everyone in January 2020. More updates will follow!)
So hopefully this caught your attention. We are exhilarated to see you on Holybread in January. We will keep you postet.

PS: Here are two small peaks inside the game.
Ah.. another game on Steem. Sounds like fun! We do not have a game of such concept here yet. Will certainly give it a shot when it launches
Did you play any other game build on steem blockchain @culgin?
I am playing @nextcolony and you might want to check that out :)
I also own some @steemmonsters card, though I do not play it actively
Ummm... there is also
Steemnova
SteemQuest
Zombie survival
All being played and have been around before splinterlands and nextcolony.
Oh and Darklands
Dear @simplegame
Thank you for your reply. Would you mind sharing links to those games? Googling 'zombie survival' won't help me to find this game:P

Good morning @simplegame
Would you mind if I take few minutes of your time? (I hope I'm not asking this question to often ;)
Anyway .... together with few core members of project.hope team - we'te trying to promote our recent publication: an article explaining economy behind our non-profit community project build on STEEM blockchain.
Perhaps I could ask you to spare few minutes and check it out and share your feedback with me.
I would absolutely appreciate it a lot. I read all comments and I drop solid upvote on each valuable one.

Is NextColony very addictive @culgin? :)
It is fun but I wouldn't consider it addictive as you do not really need to spend a lot of time on it :)
What to do to get an invitation before January 2020. I am interested in playing it right away, you have aroused my curiosity and interest peaks and details.
Hi @mobi72 dm me on Discord. Same username as here (@auminda).
Hi @holybread
I've tried to login to holybread.io and I simply failed. I entered username and clicked "login with keychain" and absolutely nothing happened.
Also wouldn't you consider using steemconnect? It seem to be very well known and trusted.
Are those developers behind this game? Perhaps you should consider building subscribtion list. It's going to be very hard to find your updates on steemit.
Cheers,
Piotr
Currently we are in the testing phase. Only a few invited users are able to login so we can test for bugs and server stability.
In January 2020 the game will be open for everyone.
We think about Steemconnect and will probably add it.
Keychain seems to be easier to use though and is also trusted.
Yep, these are the developers behind the game.
Thanks for your input and interest, @crypto.piotr!
Hi @holybread
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I would like to help.
I'm building community of users passionate with topics related to technology, AI, blockchain, machine learning etc. You could have a look at our website: www.projecthope.pl
On steemit we've managed to receive 250k SP in form of delegations (@project.hope) and my goal is to support others, also passionate with similar topic. And supporting projects build on top of steem blockchain would be something I would love to do.
Ultimately together with few other guys from our group, we're planning to set up beta-testing and digital marketing agency for tech industry. So working with you guys could benefit both parties (you can get solid support and I would get some extra valuable experience).
Anyway that's just an idea.
That would be great if you would consider adding it.
I fully agree. There are users (and I know few already) who got used to steemconnect and this is what they would choose. Anyway that's just my own little feedback.
Yours, Piotr
Hi @crypto.piotr dm me on Discord (also auminda#6100).
hi @auminda
You should receive already my request (crypto.piotr#3426)
Cheers
Piotr
👍 😃
Looking forward to finding out more about this game. Looks interesting!
how similar or different will this be from EOSKnights. I really liked that game, but the economy is dead and EOS is congested.
I also played EOSKnights and liked it for a while. Holybread however does not have that much similarity with it. There are heroes and items but it works different.
Auch !BEER und !trdo ist mit dabei.
