GURU PURNIMA ….. A festival of attributing our heartiest respectful honor to Our Gurus
Freinds ..... My Parents My Gurus
Friends the word guru is resultant of two words, GU and RU. The Sanskrit root GU means darkness or ignorance, and RU denotes the dispeller of that darkness or ignorance... and the word “GURU” is translated as “dispeller of darkness.” The Guru dispels the darkness of ignorance (wherein darkness is seen as AVIDYA, lack of both spiritual and intellectual knowledge), and leads followers on the path to enlightenment. Guru Purnima is worshipping and respecting our teachers.
Our heartiest respectful honor to Our Gurus i.e. our Parents. We may also add in GURU’s domain our Grand Parents, Teachers, Brothers, Sisters, Friends, Children and everyone younger/elder from whom we are teaches some good things in our day to day life.
Friends, Wealth, Money and Properties are not the most important asset of human beings, the basic and most valuable asset of the human beings is the Knowledge and to succeed knowledge we need a teacher, a GURU. Teacher does not need to have the higher and higher degrees like PHD or Post Graduates, they have to be having wisdom, knowledge to direct and offer their students the path to attain the knowledge, selfless ness, being contended in whatever student has, how to achieve peace, be loving, be happy and to know how to make others happy.
Our Mother may not be even a graduate, but she taught us the basics of our life as her all teachings are so practical that can be easily related in so called modern world. Our Mothers most important teaching is that since Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth) is very naughty and she cannot stay with a person much longer and to please her disciples. we shouldn’t run for making wealth and money because they are not permanent assets and always changing hands or robbers can rob our wealth & money. But on the other side Knowledge is and remains permanent and it is absolute, it cannot be divided, it would remain with us till our death. Friend’s more we distribute knowledge, more it grows.
NOW our Father is more or less ditto with our mother thoughts about difference between Wealth & Knowledge. Our father explain the same fact in some other form. Our father teaches us, money and wealth is like the flowing water of river, take our share of water as much we want to feed ourselves and our dependents and let the water flow freely for others who can also have their share of water, as Nature GOD has created water to feed other human lives too. Friends If we unnecessary try to store more water than required quantity for our family, there would be certain adverse effects:
Our fathers teaches us to treat water as our wealth and money and more the wealth we create certainly we make our dependents lazy and unethical. More over after our death they would be ready to kill their own brothers/sisters for distribution of wealth. But if we attained knowledge and share our knowledge with our children, we are creating them a strong nice humans of the society and moreover knowledge cannot be divided instead it would grow many folds, if discussed among intellectuals.
Guru Purnima is an Indian festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers. This festival is traditionally celebrated by most of the Indians especially Hindus, Jains and Buddhists, to pay their respects to their teachers and express their gratitude
Friends therefore and above all for ME till today in my life, My Gurus are My Parents.
Wishing all my friends a “HAPPY GURU PURNIMA”
