My almost home❤️

I went on vacation to northern Ontario,I'd lived up north for many years and moved south to be closer to family which was great but the north was forever calling me back so when I came back , I didn't want to go home.
Winter was approaching and it was getting rather cold living in my RV so I looked around for a house or an apartment to rent , I couldn't find anything , until I drove by an abandoned building yes it had seen better days .This old building was a former barber shop in the 1930s so I made the call ,there was a sign in the window call Don so I called Don and toured the building.
I've never taken the easy road but things worth having are never easy to acquire .
The place didn't have running water or power so that was my 1st agenda .After meeting with Don who didn't know much about the building was eagerly ready for a quick sale so we worked out a lease rent to own kinda deal ,so this was fall 2016 1st thing on the construction side was a new roof ! This place had received snow and rain weight for many years and was ready to cave in when I showed up .all winter was gutting and hauling up and down the stairs to remove wet yukki debris . This building is a income property , shop downstairs, apartment upstairs ,I'm still working at it ! One day in the near future myself and my blue healer mix Tattoo will move in .Im one woman in the north that's not giving up and my story will continue 😊It's August 2017 ,Rome wasn't built in a day either 😘
