One of the perks about homeschooling is that you can take advantage of field trips and count them for school when you're on vacation! We did the Jacksonville Zoo. It wasn't the largest zoo we've ever been to, but definitely had some quality attractions. My kids LOVE animals and learning facts about all kinds of animals.

One of the attractions they had open was called Dinosauria. My boys love dinosaurs! We've studied them and they know pretty much every name. We look at them as a creationist view instead of evolution. God created the dinosaurs on Day 6 along with all other land animals. This was actually their favorite part be we had to go through twice!

As you can see, their sister was terrified. She would not let daddy put her down.

We saw some beautiful animals. I'm not an amazing photographer, but here's a few shots with my phone.

These beautiful azalea bushes were blooming everywhere!
And we found some most unique creatures in this cage at the end of the Dino tour.

Learning can be done anywhere! I like the year tree, never seen one before. Oh and WHAT! Dinosaurs are not millions of years old?!? Just kidding, I am with you and God was the one who created them!

I loved all of your photos, and it was so cute how she was afraid of the dinosaur!

She struggled wanting to be held the whole day. I suppose the zoo is a scary place at 4. :)

One of the many joys of home schooling is family field trips disguised as vacations!

My kids would LOVE that petting tank with the rays! They've experienced the one at the aquarium in Chattanooga, but the one in Jax looks better for being able to see the rays coming toward you. (Funny how y'all were in our old stomping grounds. We never went to the zoo there though.)

And this is a huge reason why I want to homeschool, too--the flexibility! Vacation in the middle of the school year!! :)
