In the meantime, we are 3 years further and growing steadily. We aren't with 7 anymore because our adult children went out of the house. We are growing this European homestead with a family of 2 adults and a young child of 4. We live a rural life with a lot of furry friends.
With 2 new projects in front of us, a dairy farm, permaculture garden, and fruit garden, and an extra farm to build on. We are drowning in work. But we still love the progress. We rely on Workaway for help. But this year...we don't know what to expect, because of covid.
We started our youtube channel on 1 February. Soon we celebrate our first month online. We have 40 videos about memories that we experience the last 3 years. Every week we try to bring a blog about our simple life in the Hungarian desserts. We also want to share a lot of our wisdom and experience. We challenge you if you dream of your own homestead. Especially a homestead in Europe. To go for your dreams. Hungary is a good place for this.
We have for everyone something; we breed border collies that help us on the farm, make yoghurt, kefir, milk and cheese, have a mini kombucha farm, can all our food, slaughter our own animals, try to be as sustainable as possible. There is a lot of love and passion for this work and we are looking for people who want to follow our journey.
