I've not heard of the Burning Bowl, but have heard of similar ways of dealing with the things you listed.
Oddly enough, as I read about your ceremony, I had goosebumps. I long ago learned to listen to my body when things like this happen as they are important. As I type they are getting stronger. This must be something I should look into!
It's definitely something you should look into. You can even do a small ceremony at home by yourself if you can't find a group event to go to. It's also best to do this before winter solstice if possible so you can clear away before renewing.
