Back Of The Property, It Is A Total Of About 12 Acres.

in #homesteading6 years ago (edited)

We cleared some of the back of the property because we wanted to fence and cross fence some of this for the animals we will want on the property. Not sure as of yet what livestock exactly but there will be some at a later date. We still have a lot of work to clean everything up before that can happen. This will be a process as we are doing this all debt free and it will be slow. We have a friend that as an small older dozer that will help with some for a very low cost to us because we barter with him a lot and it is a great thing. Most of it will be dragging what we can out with just manpower. Equipment cost and equipment rental is costly so that will not be an option as it is not possible for us. If you want to help a Upvote and a Resteem would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck @ambiguity!
Resteemed.

My pleasure!

It can be very expensive to clear land. we just cleared a large plot of woods by hand. We have a backhoe but the cost of running the backhoe and fear of breaking something like hydraulic lines (its an older one) kept us from using it. Renting machines are expensive as well. I know just where you are coming from, cause I've been there many times.

Yes, it is an expensive process using equipment but with what we have here it clear and clean it would be so much easier to do. If there was a budget for even a tractor it would be so helpful. It is a struggle but we will figure it out slowly. Thanks! Have a great night!

You have done an amazing job so far, Mike. We have done all ours debt free too, so it is really slow going, but I think you appreciate it more in the end. We had some animals first off before we were ready and that didn't work out too well. It is a better idea to wait.

Yeah, I am going to wait on getting any animals for a while as we need to get the land cleaned up and get to building. That will take up all of our time starting off and don't want to worry so much about the animals as I have enough to worry about right now. LOL.

Hope this bit of upvote helps

Thanks! Any help I can get to build up this account with SP helps!

Saw this over in the #steemitbloggers channel, thanks to @joelai. Hope my little upvote and resteem help a bit with your project!

Thanks! Any upvote and all resteems help me grow this channel. Steemitbloggers has been a help to getting this channel moving. It is still really small as it has no upvoting power as of yet, it will given time. Thanks to @joelai for the mention and taking the time to help out also.

Awesome, and you're welcome, @ambiguity!
