RE: The Illness of Experts

in #homesteading6 years ago

This is an excellent post. Every word. Beautifully spoken.

I have begun to "try" to ditch the "corporate world" is what Ill call it here. Even though its everything, from institutions of education to religion, athletics to government. All in the same plan to "distract" us from reality and truth. And make us as dependent as the baby that sucks from the teet. These globalists are savages.

I am reading more and more all these different and new "crafts" that y'all legitimate homesteaders do and I am trying to absorb and be able to shape my own world. Because I too agree, to the fullest, that if SHTF, with what you speak of in your post, everyone's f*cked. Me included at this point, but I am trying to become more self sustainable and this spring I should be taking a big first step. Mixed feelings of support from the family right now, but theyll be thanking me when there is fresh food on the table while the economy takes a dump. Thats just one aspect tho.

I never really thought about the clothing part. Thank you for that.

Hey there. Thank-you for your kind words. Good for you...it is a process that can take many years. I don't think any of us could claim that it was quick or easy...and post of us still have connections to it to some degree. But I think the most important focus is the ability to eist without it. I started teaching an urban homesteaders program this year as I see so often...people think homesteading starts with moving off grid. But it's a journey that starts wherever we are and it can mean so many different things. Absolutely...and even if they aren't thankful...you have enriched their lives regardless. And, this is a wonderful place to be conected as you deepen your skills to provide for yourself and your family. Bravo.
