We too had an awful rooster. Crowing all the time, keeping everyone up at night. That ended when my grandparents came to stay. The rooster had the misfortune to crow at noon and my grandmother, being a superstitious type of person, rung his not so scrawny neck. Needless to say, we had fine chicken and dumpling stew for dinner. LOL
