This is our first season with the Tiny tim tomato. Its a bush tomato specifically grown to be in containers. It was first offered to the public in 1945 and have been very popular since. Its "parents" are Window box and Red currant.

Its a small treelike bush that grows from 8" to 16" and up to 12" wide. It grows more tomatoes than foliage so it requires no pruning. Matures within 45 days.

Tiny tims is already a new favourite of mine (ours, my husband quite like them too). We sowed 15 seeds and 11 sprouted in to seedlings and they are a rich darkgreen colour and the description is so true, they put out a lot of tomatoes. We currently have 44 tomatoes growing and more flowers coming in

Since they are so fast growing we are thinking of seeding a bunch more, some to sell and some more for us.

This one has 11 tomatoes growing and two new clusters of flowers coming in at the top branch.
