House update 8/1/18; Inner walls have been rebuilt with new 2X4 studs.
I've been real busy renovating our house. This week we got new 2X4 studs put in for the inner walls. The picture above is going to be our bathroom and master bedroom. There was a door there where those shelves are going. We got that built too.
The guy who did this work for us did an amazing job! He is a $25 an hour electrician. He did all our wiring for us as well as rebuilt our inner walls. We are almost ready to reinsulate and put up new sheet rock. It is like I'm going to have a brand new house. I can't wait!
This room here, where the saw is, is going to be Maverick's room, the Nursery. We are going to be putting in new interior doors once the walls get rebuilt.

It is getting exciting now! I honestly think that with the help I am now getting that I will have a brand new house to live in within the next 4 to 6 weeks. YAY!!! All thanks to a small investment in Bitcoin that paid off!

You're making good progress. My wife would probably be freaking out on me at 32 weeks pregnant, she would start "nesting" at about 30 weeks.
So far so good. We are almost there :-).
Starting to take shape now that you have more bones installed. Ha ha stud in the room ha ha.

I see why you have not come to visit and go shooting! I wish you were closer, I would help you on the wiring if you were! Could be worse, LOL, I have to run 24 Volt power as well as the normal 120 volts at the new house.

Babies DO disrupt things somewhat, ROFLOL! So very much worth it, post pictures.

I am just finishing the demolition for wheelchair access. I am on floor repair now, then added insulation has to go in (to protect the solar heat and air)....

I bought the land, he threw in the house for free...sooo it will take a lot to get it ready. You are hip deep in a build too I see! What you have looks very good. I hate putting in the insulation, but make sure your vapor barrier is sealed well. Don't rely on the backing on the insulation, not good enough by itself. Keep on hammering! :)

:)What should I use to help seal the vapor barrier? We are going to be putting the walls back up soon, like any day now. What did you use?
Just staple a plastic sheet over the insulation. They have it at the lumberyard. They consider it overkill here, but it will help with heating and cooling, by stopping the air leaks. It is NOT critical, just helpful. They seal the plastic joints with Tuck tape (not Duck tape) designed to stick and stay. I have seen them use 6 mil plastic but any thickness would be better than none, and it mounts with staples.
IF you can't, it is not a killer problem. It probably saves 5% of your heat loss. I will have to use it, because I need to use styrofoam on what I am adding, and it doesn't seal as well as the fiberglass.
