When we are designintresserad our living room we have to think about many things, The sofa's position, something to keep your eyes on, the choice of the right carpet, balance and attention to detail are five things that may be good to consider when you are going to furnish your living room. Below I Will try to describe some secrets that creates a comfortable living room.

The sofa

is often the largest furniture in the room, and the choice of the sofa's location often makes a large difference in the living room. A rule of thumb is to place the sofa so it welcomes you when you enter the room, not with the back against the person entering the room. If there is no choice for this, place a end table/ sideboard with beautifully decorated on the back of the sofa to create a welcome feeling.

Do you have the habit of placing the couch along the wall when you buy new furniture or rearranging the furniture? The majority of us probably answer that question with a yes, but there are so many reasons not to. Placing the couch in the middle of the room creates a nice flow and it's both trendy and extremely nice!

Each room needs something that captures the visitor's interest, it may be a fireplace or a beautiful view. If you do not already have anything in the living room, you can create it yourself by setting up a large powerful blackboard or mirror, colorful pillows on the couch or an island of large beautiful plants.

The importance of the right carpet in the room

A beautiful living room requires a lovely carpet. Consider carefully how you want to use the living room before investing in a rug. Do you want it to be soft and fluffy to create a welcoming cozy atmosphere. Or should the carpet work as a delimiter between the different parts of the living room? Also, think of the colors, how the carpet will match other furnishings, will it melt and barely appear, or will the carpet be spot on in your living room?

Strive to create balance throughout the room

. If you have a large couch in one part of the living room, create a smaller sitting or mining corner in another part to balande up the room. Also consider balancing top and bottom, what do you have on the walls and in the ceiling? Do you have a large ceiling lamp in one part, balance it up with a floor lamp, bigger paintings, a mirror, a end table with a larger table lamp, etc. Also consider the colors in the room and how they harmonize with each other.

At last but not at least

To make the living room "finished", soften with details. Soft pillows and blankets on the couch and armchairs. Also consider the lighting, instead of a single ceiling lamp, furnish with spotlighting: spotlights for paintings, table and floor lamps for candle lighting.
