I’m just dieing to learn to spin. When we get out of the city I want to get some ‘fiber animals’, like sheep and/or goats. Until then though, I’m looking into Angora rabbits for fiber.

Are black and white the only two colors that your Shetland lambs could be?

They can be many colors, I believe there are up to 11 or 12 different shades they can range from white to gray to browns and blacks... I am hoping to do a post soon about how to learn to spin. It can be quite meditative. I used to have a couple of Angoras, their fiber is so lovely. It is one of the more
difficult to spin. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Oh, thanks for the heads up on the Angora fiber. Maybe I’ll spend some time learning to spin on some easier fiber in preparation. Is there a particularly easy fiber to learn with?

How amazing are sheep! What a wonderful farm and what lovely animals. You are quite talented with the shawls. I love seeing people who still sew and knit. Thank you for the fun post. I loved it!

Thank you for reading ! And for the compliments!

Your sheep are beautiful. It is so fun to watch the animals when spring begins. They get all excited. They also get excited to see new pasture as you were saying. Enjoy

Thank you... Yes it is so fun to see them happy.

They look like very happy sheep.

Yes! Thank you!

I love what you are doing. I would love to spin. I gave our family spinning wheel to my daughter. Hopefully one day they will spin. Your buttons are beautiful.

Thank you so much!! How special to have a family spinning wheel to pass down!
