Loss and Gratitude
The past couple of weeks have been a bit messy for us but I am determined to make it through. There was a loss in my family earlier last week and I've been helping my family take care of their animals. Struggling to afford my school books has been a challange as well, but preserverence is key! I do the best I can to keep going, and even though I crumble under the weight of my severe anxiety, I am still moving FORWARD.
That being said, thanks to tropical storm Irma we now have a giant pine to clean up in our yard! I cannot express how grateful I am that the tree fell where it did. We also lost a couple smaller trees farther from the house. I made a short video showing the tree and the debri covering our yard and the rabbit and chicken enclosures. We are feeling very fortunate today!!!
Now as we clean up we will assess what other trees need to be cut down before the next storm. As much as I love feeling "in the woods" I can't ignore the danger of the pine trees in proximity to our house. As we help others clear their damage, hopefully we can save some wood for our coming winters. We also have become more aware that we are not as prepared for disasters as we would like, and will be making a list of areas where we can improve. Everything in life is a lesson and we are not going to ignore this one!
Sorry you have been having hard times but so glad that tree is gone from the list of worries now! Big hugs!
Where are you located? In GA? My hubby was slated to go to Fla for relief help, but because she didn't hit Tampa as hard as she was supposed to, he got canceled. I'm sorry you have so much clean up. Hopefully, it will lead to new life and greater things!
