Looking Back and Planning Ahead.

@knowledge-seeker has a slightly tougher theme for this week's homestead photo competition. It's bringing in the New Year!

I'm not big on new year's resolutions and celebrations over new year these days, but it can be good to look back at what's been accomplished over the year to remind yourself that progress has been made. I also try to have a few goals in mind for the year ahead.

Lately, with regards to the Miniature Smallholding, the front garden has been a focus. It started out as mostly lawn and I've been trying to make it more useful production wise for us. It's an area that gets a lot of sun and you might be able to tell from the photo that what's left of the lawn finds it a hard environment to grow in and this is one of the few grasses that manages to survive this environment!

Moving forward I want to put a bit more effort into it than I have previously and get a better plant covering. Maybe I should use this picture as my starting point and see if there's much change this time next year!

Sometimes we forget what has been done over the course of the year, but in reality a lot was accomplished. It sounds like you have a good plan and goals for what you want to accomplish this next year. Great Job!

Yes, I guess 365 days of rushing around feeling like you're getting nowhere has got to add up at some point! Lol

Thank you. 😊
