Not a movie but a 2016's TV series that i'm watching now and recommend:

The Exorcist

IMDB: 8.2

Follows three priests dealing with cases of a demonic presence targeting a family and a foster home.

The exorcist S1 was amazing. Haven't watched S2 yet though, but I am sure it will be awesome.

I agree, i thought they wouldn't do such a good job as the movie but it was great,i will start S2 next week.

A major fan of the horror genre that I am, always seem to get disappointed with what people push in the name of horror. But this series surely delivered it.
I will be still finishing Stranger Things next week. Maybe after that:)
