Watch Me Suffer. @pulpably takes @papa-pepper's #hotpepperchallenge

A Big Thank You to @papa-pepper for the free seeds and for sending so many peppers!

All author rewards received for this post will go to @papa-pepper to support his community building challenges.

I believe the pepper I ate to have been the hybrid ghost pepper or lowest level of challenge. Yes it was hot. It tasted really, really good. The euphoria was almost as noticeable as the heat. I wouldn't screw around with it. However, I would do this again and feel that it was a safe and positive experience.

What really neutralized the burn was thick coconut milk of the kind that's used in curries. Ten minutes later, my tongue felt like it had been sanded smooth. I was still feeling euphoric, but otherwise unaffected and unaware of any discomfort. I did make sure I ate the pepper on a full stomach.

If you are considering taking @papa-pepper's #hotpepperchallenge, I highly recommend that you do it. It was fun!

You are a hardier person than me for sure! My youngest daughter took a challenge to eat a ghost pepper once and had no reaction. I was tricked by my youngest son who gave me a little pepper that looked like a cherry tomato. He ate it and acted like it was all good and I took a bite and thought I drank battery acid. He did a very good acting job! Once I ate and reacted, he proceeded to spit it out and start gagging. My mouth and eyes watered for hours....Ah, good times....good times... ;)

Your son sounds like my little brother! He once filled his own stocking a few days before Christmas and argued that Santa had come and the rest of us had been shafted.

I love to eat hot food. Having done this, I will definitely try the challenge at the Wing Dome in Seattle at my next opportunity. I took my Dad there for Father's Day once and he wept with pride at my ability to eat hot food. That is almost certainly why I decided to take the challenge. :) It's funny which memories stick.

EXCELLENT ENTRY - AND GREAT JOB LINKING THE PREVIOUS ENTRIES

WELL DONE

Actually, you have the "Level 2" - GHOST PEPPER

They get hotter when they ripen and dry a little more, but excellent job.
You know, if you ate that reaper, you might be able to give @matthewtiii a little more competition...'
LOL

@matthewtiii upped the ante for sure! I'm stoked! Hopefully, his post will inspire many others to take the challenge. And hopefully mine will make them feel that it's not insane and that they'll be glad they did. :D

GURL...

You are more man than I. ROFL. I was waiting for you to turn as red as that pepper and watch the sweat pour.
Do I want to do this challenge???? I'm very tempted except that I'm still being a woosie. hahaha... A screw it. I should do it. I'm gonna do it. @papa-pepper - my guts are in your hands. How do I get a pepper?

Cool beans! I mean...Hot peppers! Go onto Steemit chat and send a direct message to @papa-pepper with your address. Honestly, this was sane and safe experience. I had a harder time not swallowing it all in the first minute and a half than I did tolerating the heat. Yes it was hot. Buy a can of thick coconut milk. It will cutting the heat, after.

WOMAN, when I do it, I'm dedicating my video to you. LOL
I don't think my husband or my toilet are going to like you very much though. hahaha

My husband almost joined me. I didn't want him grinning at me while I videoed myself with my mouth full, so I banished him to his den for the filming. We almost made a second video of him, because he wanted to try it, but it's a little like jumping off the high board: the jumping is the hard part, everything else is easy. My experience of the toilet was not so bad. I was intentionally very careful with my digestive system, though.

I'm stoked you're going to do it!

Oh, I somehow missed it! The music was a really nice touch! :D

That makes me want to do the challenge. I wonder if things could be arranged for the Amsterdam SteemFest. Going to talk to people about that!
