HUMAN

Have you ever made a comment about someone and they got upset and said “Ummm that's sexist/discriminative/racist.”

And then you get annoyed and say “You're too sensitive/ I didn't mean that/ I've been so nice to you.”

Do you know why that pisses you off?

Because all humans (all included me) have a bias and believe we are all nice people and most likely you are. Any feedback that violates our view of ourselves becomes painful to hear because we want to believe our : cognitive bias. That's why we talk about being kind and humble all the times.

So how do I deal with this?

I STOP TALKING AND THINKING THAT I AM A KIND PERSON.

What if we stop thinking that we are kind and humble? What if rather think that we are kind and humble, we simply believe and think that we are a human. That's it, just a normal human

You know what humans do?

They do nice things, they do bad things they mess up, they succeed, they are super dumb, they are super smart, they fail, they grow.

We can be all of this in one lifetime. Normal

Not putting a label of “kindness and success” on myself is freeing , because I should just do and learn. Not JUDGE every success and mistake. Therefore, when I say dumb stuff I can accept it. Learn and move.

Without a label, we are free to be a human.

Beside, if we are truly humble and kind, we never have to ever say it about ourselves. Others will say it for us.

We don't need to be special to do special things, all we need is to do them a lot, and that's special.

We are all just human.
