Auction unpublished letter written on the Titanic
The prestigious British auction house Henry Aldridge & Son has just announced that it will be auctioned, in accordance with the commemoration of the 106th anniversary of the tragic sinking of the RMS Titanic, an unpublished letter written by a passenger of the ship, in which she details how It was life on board. Those responsible for the event believe that the valuable historical document will be paid between USD 28,000 and USD 35,000.
The letter in question was written on April 10, 1912 by Kate Buss. The woman, who at the time of the accident was 36 years old, managed to survive the impact, climb one of the lifeboats and be rescued by the ship Carpathia.
In the letter, Buss tells, who is believed to be his lover, everyday scenes of life in the colossal ship. In addition, he describes with admiration the second class facilities: "The first class apartments are really magnificent, and unless you have seen them before the second class, you would think they are exactly the same".
