RE: Newborn DNA Collection Services: Where is the "Informed Consent"?
Sorry to hear about you falling ill. There is nothing wrong with a father/husband staying home and the wife/mom going to work...nothing at all! That is what my household was like growing up. When I say traditional I mean the man keeps the woman safe ^^!
I understand you, I try and keep my family safe, it is one of the reasons that we moved house, and since we have there has been a murder on our road, so I am so glad that we went.
it was a scary place and to bring up 3 kids as well, it was hard. we had a riot out side our house and the police turned up and backed off because it was to bad for them to deal with. haha. we watched from our bedroom window as they were throwing bricks and shooting soft bbs at each other. it was crazy.
Oh gosh. I completely understand! A murder in the same community is enough to make me want to move. I could only imagine what it was like living there. We are so glad you and your family are safe!
Thank you @truthbeyondlies. it means a lot. we are glad we are safe to, there was other factors to us moving too but the area was definitely one of them
Completely understandable. We actually are thinking about moving... nothing like what you faced but we have noticed that our neighborhood is not what it use to be.
It's never good when an area drops. My wife grow up where we used to live, it was really safe, you could leave your doors open and go a way for 2 weeks and come back with no problems, Now it seems like they have moved loads of low life into the area.
It is mainly council housing so a cheap place to live, with the uk letting people move from abroad they have to give them somewhere to live, which is not a problem when people abide by the law, but it seems like people do what they want.
Murder has rose in that area, we have heard of rape stabbings and robbery.
the day before we moved in here someone tried to break into out house while we were in bed. i went down to them at my door while they were using a crow bar to get in my back doors. it was really scary, I went and chased after them as I wasn't having my family put in danger.
I phoned the police which took them 3 hours to get to us.
Luck the same people who tried to rob us robbed another house 5 streets over after ours and got caught in the act.
they are looking at 2 years each for there stupidity
Oh wow. You know it is sad the way the world has changed. When I was a teenager my mom and I would go to my great aunts house and spend the weekend from time to time. I remember being there and they never locked the door. That was strange to me because where I lived you had to lock your door. I miss them times and did not know what they would mean until I was an adult. That kind of safety has a lot of comfort that come with it. The children of this current generation will never know what that is like and that is what I find so sad. Now the police part, I can relate. They are not quick to respond in my area as well. I have come to the conclusion that the police are not here to protect and serve anymore.
All the police are these days are evidence gatherers, there powers are about as much use as a wet paper bag all because of health and safety laws and government cut backs.
And they are still cutting them back till there will be less and less and the country will run it's self into the ground.
Its same with our health system too, the government has sold of parts of the nhs and it is now struggling, they will keep doing this as they want it to fail, they see private health care the way to go.
They belaime the nhs for so much and don't ever mention that the cut backs that they have made is what the problem is.
The crazy thing that we all know about is that people like me who need the nhs and prescriptions will have to pay over the odds for the medication and care that I need. so when it comes to the day I will have to pay $$$$ for my care as no one will touch me to insure me privately.
America is the same way to an extent. Right now if you get Government health care (through welfare) you pay nothing...doctors and prescription are free (well not free but free to the person using it). Our Elderly and Disable still have to pay...and if you don't have that you have to have private health care...it is the law. A problem that I see is that people that work jobs such as fast food normally do not get help unless they have children. If you do not have children you really do not get any help and private insurance is expensive. It is a no win situation. I could go on and on about this but I am sure I will offend someone along the way lol
