3 Hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean
Currently, there are 3 hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean. Hurricanes Irma, Jose and Katia. Right now, Katia is only a Category 1 Hurricane and will probably not intensify from there. It is mostly just a concern in Mexico.
The most dangerous part of the storm is that it is a slow mover. This will increase rainfall if the storm does not move much faster.
Hurricane Irma is a monster being a Category 5 Hurricane with sustained winds of 175mph and gusts of over 200mph.
Jose is scary as well because the small islands in the Caribbean that were just hit by a Category 5 hurricane, are likely to be hit by another major storm Jose, that is currently a Category 3. Imagine being hit twice in one week by two major hurricanes. Stay safe.
