Pally The Next Generation Social Travel Platform
The Pally ico is taking social travel and putting it on the block chain. There are a number of social media block chain platforms. Pally has a specific use case and large target demographic. I think Pally has a lot of potential, and I’m very excited about the platforms possible future.
The Pally platform has two functins, Pally Social and Pally Adventure. Currently, Pally has an app in beta available for Apple ios, which is a good start on what the team plans to deliver. http://www.itunes.apple.com/us/app/pally-the-app-for-friendly-internationals/id1206993633?mt=8
Pally Social is a function where in travelers can find local residents in the area where they plan to go in order to gain information. Think about how much power this gives Pally users, and how this could change lives. If, for example, you wanted to move to a new city, before you even leave you could gain all sorts of useful information. You could make friends and learn about local customs so that when you arrive you save yourself from doing anything socially awkward. Another possible use case is for parents of college students planning on traveling in Europe (or what ever place they may want to go). The parent could make acquaintances with people in the area in case their child runs into a bind. The specific use cases for Pally Social are only limited to what you can imagine to use the platform for.
The Pally Social platform allows users to message each other, and locals earn Pallycoins if enough messages are sent with in a conversation. Pally Social locals can also earn Pallycoins for going to official meet ups.
The Pally Adventures function connects visitors with local hosts who have a specific area of interest. I can see how Pally Adventure could be useful for local tour guides. Anybody who lives in a large city (or other interesting place) would be able to plan out an activity. Those with an interest in said activity would be able to pay their host with Pallycoins. After the visitor goes on their adventure, they can then rate their guide from one to ten in order to help future users make informed choices.
The Pally platform has a lot of potential in my opinion, and looks like it could be a lot of fun too. There are a few concerns I have as well as some suggestions. My first concern is that their list of team members doesn’t have links to social media profiles, some would see this as a red flag, although they do have an app in beta. My second concern is that there is no legal council listed on their team. While there is an impressive range of experience over a number of fields, I feel that legal council is a key component of a successful project and shouldn’t be overlooked. I would suggest that Pally have a second tier for their users, where back round checks are run and identities are verified to make everybody feel more comfortable. Meeting strangers has potential risks, and I feel that having a second tier of verified users would add to the value of the platform.
The Pally platform will only be successful if it attracts quality users and gains popularity. There are a number of social platforms on the block chain and in my opinion Pally has some potential advantages. I would encourage you to have a look and form your own opinion.
