Filmgrid Diaries 20190603 - Tear Down the Wall

It has become a bit routine to only follow up on the rewards campaign, but how effective can it be only to revive the existence of Filmgrid if we have not been able to explain the full extent of the project?

We have remitted it on several occasions, Filmgrid is an ideological project, but it does not mean that the business part has not been carefully considered, much less the benefits for all the participants, from the future users of the platform as well as the investors that have the courage to help us realize this dream.

Throughout the month of June we will be reviewing the points that make up Filmgrid; the ideology that conceives it, the description of the platform, the part of the business and the profit that is sought for investors. It will be shared in the form of Facebook posts, Tweets and videos on YouTube.

Today it is time to start with the creative nonconformity that is a reality in the film industry (and probably in any other of an artistic nature). In our white paper it is expressed as follows:

"Writers with great imagination must settle for writing what the executives request, instead of their own ideas; visionary directors have their hands figuratively tied, using their creativity to meet the expectations of the" product placement "advertiser; talented actors and actresses see the very roles they were born to play, be occupied by artists of lesser stature but with the physique or ethnicity selected by the producer. "

It is a mockery to see how movies are flooded with films that are extensive commercials of products of all kinds, with empty stories and forced and flat dialogues, as the hand of the non-creative producer is in the whole film, with its decisions staining the art of those who create it. I will not even touch the problems of racism and intolerance that are common, much less the unfortunate events that have come to light thanks to the "me too" movement.

In short, with this thought in mind, is that the search begins to find a better way to create movies, fair and free.
