Some of These People Really Look Clueless.

In case you were wondering about Representative Dickhead who insisted that it had no use case - the one who said something along the lines of "Just you wait till some terrorists attack something after being funded with crypto". That piece of shit was bought and paid for by an industry that feels threatened by this new technology.

Don't take my word for it, review his campaign finances for yourselves. https://www.opensecrets.org/members-of-congress/summary?cid=N00006897

They say they want to 'protect investors' but create so much FUD in the process that investors get rekt anyway!

They talk about "protecting retail investors," when in reality all the laws that allegedly protect retail investors from losing their money exist to keep poor people from becoming wealthy. You want to invest in a startup at an early stage - when you would see the most return? You need to be an accredited investor, first, for which you need already be in the top 1%. Granting Americans (who aren't accredited investors) more than 50:1 leverage is also illegal - to protect them from losing their money. I guess that one's ok - margin trading is just gambling anyway, right? And since we closed all the Casinos... wait, nevermind.

Peter Van Valkenburgh, Director of Research, Coin Center making a good point about different kinds of tokens - utility versus fund-raising etc - it's a learning process but good that these folks keep working to move things forward in terms of shared understandings

Very positive for cryptocurrencies.

They dont have a clue

Can't even sit through 5 minutes of that. It's gov't beauracracy at it's finest.

Where will it be so - for them, that's no profit from that.
