Matthew Kepnes, aka Nomadic Matt, a bestselling author from the USA, will be the first author ever to run a Book ICO and pre-sell books as tokens.

Matt Kepnes will pre-sell his new book called “Backpacker’s Guide to Europe” exclusively on the blockchain with Publica.

Nomadic Matt’s campaign landing page was launched on May 23 and the Initial Book Coin Offering will open on June 6th at 6 am PST. One Book token will represent and grant access to one digital copy of the book and will cost 10.00 USD.

Only 1,000 Book tokens will be available during the Book ICO. Readers will contribute using PBL tokens (the Publica platform's native currency) and then read the book in Publica’s e-reader app (serving double-duty as an e-reader and cryptocurrency wallet).

Participants can buy an unlimited number of book tokens and trade them or gift them to friends, since every Book token is an Ethereum ERC20 token.
