Here is what you should think about when buying into an ICO

This is my first post of many to come, I will write about investing in crypto currencies.

First out, ICO.

The ICO market is booming, which one should you buy? What should you think about?

First: If you are thinking about buying into a little-know ICO you should check what the community is writing about company, since there is a risk its a scam.

Second: Do your homework on the team behind the company. Are they capable of making the technology? What kind of experience do they have?

Third: This is the one of the most important...what kind of a problem are they trying to solve? Anybody else doing it or are they first-movers? Easy to copy?

Fourth: How long time will it take for them to make money? Which sector are they going to take a marketshare from. Example: Siacoins data storage service is probably going to take a part of the cloud-storage market. They have a big advantage compared to Amazon, Icloud, Microsoft and Google cloud. Sia advantage is price, the price is a fraction of the price big players are charging, and it´s much safer.

Fifth: Is the ICO capped? If its uncapped, its a big risk they are taking in too much money, what are they going to do with the extra money?

Sixth: How many tokens are they issuing? Can they issue more?

Seven: Are you planing to cash out after its listed on an exchange, if yes. You should do research on where its going to trade.

Eight: Risk - What are the big risk factors - Competition, Politic and Technology.

Nine: Read the white paper at least two times.

10: Check which wallets the ICO is compatible with, this is VERY important!

There are many more things too think about, but I hope that this help if you are not that familiar with investing in ICOs.
