As most of you that have been following our blog by now knows, we decided to offer the Steemit community a chance to get PODS, our new currency that will launch an ICO in September. This pre-sale was mainly done to get you as our Steemit friends to be part of the journey we are embarking on, and to say thank you for your loyal support over the last few months. We have had a wonderful response, and we are very excited about each and every one that has joined, from the 1 SBD to the hundreds of Steem contributions!
Yes the few dollars raised definitely help in preparing the ICO, and every cent is going towards making the ICO successful. However it was more about getting you involved. Making you part of this family. And now you are, so from all of us in @SportsPodium, a very warm welcome.
As part of this family, you not only now own a coin that many, not just us, believe will become a top 10 coin in the next 12-18 months. In fact our goal is to be up there with Ether in the next two years. With us creating a true economy and using the amazing power of the sporting world, we are pretty certain that this will happen. First we need to launch and hold a successful ICO, and then we will focus massive energy on launching the platform (that has been in existence in a non-crypto/blockchain version for 4 years) in Q2 2018. We are already working towards this, but we dare not take our eye of the ICO.

Great to have you aboard, and very excited to hear you are talking about this. This is a very strong project and we have some amazing advisors supporting us, and not just in the crypto world but also in the business and sports world. We want to do this with a large group of people from all over, so the more that support the better.
At this time we are engaged with Bitrex and a few other. While our key focus is on launching the ICO and raising the funds, we are very acutely aware that this token should be tradable from the very early stages. We are also going to look at some Eastern exchanges, and will shift our focus in the weeks to come to have our token trading in as many places as sensible.

I once had an idea; maybe more of a gimmick, but it could make a fun use case for the sportspodium blockchain.
What if there were an interface/website, where I could enter my sport and my result; which returned details of the oldest and youngest male and female who have done better.
