Files.fm  Library is an enormous project to open a community-powered library  where everyone can upload their files and share them with public for  free or for compensation - depending on the type of file and users’  wishes.

Files.fm has always been about creating a file storage and  distribution ecosystem where the focus has always been on listening and  participating with the community. We want to empower the community to  create something special - a digital library which gives the community  at large a platform to watch, listen, read and share all types of  information. If you would like to find out more about what we are trying  to build behind the scenes, get a sneak peek, or engage with our  community please feel free to join our social media channels. Files.fm Library will be created by joining the best technologies and practices from both centralized and decentralized worlds. For FFL development we are going to use the technical base of our  existing system Files.fm cloud storage platform, that we created in 2008  and have been continuously improving until nowadays. In the existing  system we already have implemented centralized file storing, sharing,  selling, publishing and distribution. In addition to that we already  have a working beta version of P2P file sharing and video streaming. We  will expand the existing Files.fm system to create FFL by improving the  P2P sharing, adding advanced content analysis, search and blockchain. In the currently existing online file sharing service field we see  three main problems that have to be solved. These problems apply both to  already existing and to newly created content in future, as well as  both to popular and to specific, original content. The problems are:

• Limited existing platform abilities (storage, traffic, functions, usability)

• Non - competitive legal alternatives for illegal file sharing

• Insufficient data preservation for future generations

• Limited free to use file sharing

We will build and support Files.fm Library (FFL) to ensure data prese  rvation for future generations, to eradicate illegal file sharing and  to provide a convenient and searchable free to use file sharing. FFL  corner stones will be usability, community and content. We will  implement powerful search engine and catalogue and the system will work  in any web browser. The community will be motivated with FFL tokens to  do useful work, we will implement a transparent blockchain database and  use Tit-for-Tat principles for storage sharing. The content will be free  to store and use, it will be available through free and fast P2P shared  traffic and the intelligent property content will be sold using  blockchain technology.

FFL will combine the existing digital library crea tion principles  with new hybrid semi - decentralized technology, using P2P fog network  of web browsers in order to reduce the costs and limitations of  centralized digital libraries. FFL will focus heavily on creating and  maintaining a community of volunteers, who would upload, tag and oversee  useful files and who in return would be rewarded with FFL Tokens.  Another factor for choosing P2P networks w as due to the already large  amount of people that are using them – it has been estimated that in  2017 almost 1% of worldwide Internet users engaged in P2P file sharing  per day.

Files.fm uses freemium business model – free and paid services. The  base of the service will be available free of charge, while special  premium features and services are available for charge. Our business  model relies on advertisement revenue, PRO paid accounts and users  monetizing their copyrighted files.

The precise date and time will be announced later, but it will happen in Q1 2019.

Files.fm service users will use FFL’s native cryptocurrency - FFL  Tokens-for value exchange in the FFL system. FFL will also use Tokens  for initial crowdsale and fund raising – ICO campaign, to support the  Library, platform and community development.

Files.fm has issuedits own Files.fm token with a ticker FFL, for the  purpose of crowdsale and integr ation in the Files.fm platform. The  token is based on ERC20 Ethereum technology, an open source,  blockchain-based distributed computing platform with smart contracts.  These cryptographically secure smart contracts are stateful applications  stored in the Ethereum blockchain, fully capable of enforcing planned  transactions.

The FFL token It will be used as a native currency by the FFL users  to pay for the FFL’s special services and will be received for useful  work (mined) in the FFL system. The FFL Token is a utility token, issued  in a fixed supply with an annual inflation – based on useful work done  by the community (aka “mining”).

To collect resources for the FFL system’s development, FFL is  planning to launch a token crowd sale in Q4 2018. The token sale will  use an Ethereum (ERC777/ERC20) token and it will be converted 1:1 to the  native FFL Token after the FFL private blockchain’s development.  Token’s public sale smart contract will be close to utility token  functionality, so it can be used straight away in the product, if  needed.

Funds raised during the FFL ICO will be used for the development of the  FFL system and for the ongoing expenses required to support the growth  of the ecosystem: 34% will be spent on development, 28% on  infrastructure, 23% on marketing, the rest will be allocated for wages,  offices, and legal and consulting services.

Product pricing will be tied to US dollar. For example, storage or  file price will be fixed in dollars, but floating in tokens, depending  on the exchange value of FFL token.

Files.fm Library is developed by the team behind the Files.fm file  sharing platform. Files.fm as a company was founded at 2007 and in 2008  our file sharing platform was launched. Since then Files.fm has  attracted more than 500,000 registered users and it has more than 1.2  million unique visitors every month. We have developed the sharing  platform, back-up solution, file module transfer for printing companies,  and ability for users to sell files via Files.fm or their web page.  Files.fm works on a freemium based business model and in 2017 its  revenues reached more than 650,000 euros.
