Sad state of today's world

I've noticed this is increasingly affecting people things amazing for the environment being taxes out of existence some states have made gardens illegal or fineable its making me upset honestly and normally I'm not that type of guy why would it be okay to tax the sun and private conversion of it why is it illegal to collect rain water or get rid of grass and have a legitimate garden in your front yard? Who wants grass not me I want food something I enjoy tending vs mowing the damn lawn any ways tell me your thoughts on this!
