Some Uni Work
Hello!!
I'm in my third year of uni (I'm an Illustration student) - hoping to do a Masters afterwards!
The third years always get to do exhibitions, but due to covid it is looking very unlikely. It is exciting to see all the different possibilities and technology to showcase our work instead!
We all put forward words for the title of the exhibition, and 'Anrhydedd' (a Welsh word basically meaning 'Honour') was the most voted for.
So we all made our own individual posters of what we thought encompassed the word, and someone made a rosette design and everyone really likes it-this evolved into all of us doing individual rosettes however we like, which will then be added together in a uniform fashion to create a poster. Here's my end result!
I made this by sketching on paper and then taking a picture and uploading it to Procreate so I could work on it using my IPad. I LOVE how this turned out! I was having trouble making a rosette that I liked that I didn't feel bored by, I like quite dark and spooky things, I look like/am a goth and think bats are very cute-so I made a bat rosette! With barbed wire to make it more edgy haha.
We all needed to include "we did it!" or something along those lines, so this is what my design looks like without the text. The background for all of our pieces is a baby blue colour.
Here it is without the blue background. :) I actually prefer it with the blue background I think.
Here is the original sketch on paper! I thought making the loose ribbon into little legs was very cute hehe, we were given a template of a regular rosette so I made sure to keep within the lines when doing the legs, head and bat wings (and the four extra tiny bats).
I love doing this, it was really really fun. :)
Thank you for reading!
