I wish I could sit down with people who are opposed to immigration and educate them on why our Government is smart to have a fast-lane like this.

Historically, any country that is having economic or politic problems will see a mass exodus of the top people in their country - scientists, business owners, doctors, entrepreneurs, etc., and a smart foreign government wants to attract those people for immigration. A rising tide lifts all boats and all that.

Just look at Greece lol, they've had multiple exodus' over the decades and all their best people are living in Canada and the U.S.
