Darshan Kolhe an 8th standard student from Madhya Pradesh, India has invented washing machine which doesn't require electricity.

When asked from where did he get this idea? He told “when he was in 7th standard, their school gave them science project, after thinking of various options, he thought of creating washing machine which will work without electric.

For this innovation he took old bicycle and removed both the wheels, fitting a rod to freewheel with a drum attached to the rod and inside that drum he also fitted a cylinder shaped net. Now as he begun pedaling the net inside the drum started rolling and the clothes were washed, as well as dried by that non electric washing machine.

He mentioned that while washing the clothes we also can exercise our body as the same time. At this small age a student from rural India had innovated simple but very useful machine.
