Why Don’t Indian Women Marry Into China?
I’ve always been curious about this. In China, it’s customary for the groom to give the bride’s family money. Take a bride price of 100,000 yuan for example—that amount would be the equivalent of several years' income for an Indian farmer. On the contrary, in India, the bride’s family usually gives a dowry when marrying off a daughter. If an Indian woman were to marry a Chinese man, it could potentially create considerable wealth for her family. Plus, the living conditions in Chinese rural areas are generally better than those in rural India. If the woman were to marry into an urban Chinese family, the improvement in living conditions would be dramatic. Women’s social status is also clearly higher in China compared to India. So, I’m really curious—why do we see Vietnamese, Burmese, and Laotian brides in China, even some from Ukraine, but none from India?
One netizen answered: A few years ago, in my youthful ignorance, I rented my apartment to an Indian man. To be honest, he wasn’t a bad person—very polite, with hardly any accent in his English. It was just him and his wife, who were stationed in Shanghai by a foreign company. They rented my place for about a year and a half, with a proper lease that required invoices. After they moved out, the apartment sat empty for half a year before I could rent it out again. The smell!!! I had to hire a cleaning lady to scrub the kitchen three times. In the end, I replaced the mattress and sofa before I could rent it out. Why do I remember this so clearly? Because during that empty half-year, I naively thought opening the windows would get rid of the smell. But whenever a typhoon came in July or August, I had to close all the windows. Afterward, I’d open them again. By the third time, I realized how foolish I was. I ended up calling the building's garbage disposal guy to throw out everything that came into contact with the body—mattresses, sofas, you name it. And some people are still willing to marry Indians? How bad must your sinus problems be to even consider that?

China Bans Automakers From Establishing Factories in India, Leaving India Bewildered: Why Is It Different From Before?
According to a report by Bloomberg, China recently informed major automotive companies that they are not allowed to make any car-related investments in India. Prior to this, India's auto giant Tata Motors had started purchasing electric vehicle battery packs from Chinese manufacturers. New Delhi had even set up a special task force to expedite the approval process for investment proposals from Chinese auto companies that met the required standards. New Delhi believed that this would encourage more Chinese auto companies to invest in India, especially in the electric vehicle and battery manufacturing sectors. However, China’s recent move has hit India hard. New Delhi had always regarded the Indian market as a lucrative opportunity. To many Indian media outlets, allowing Chinese car companies to enter India’s market was seen as a blessing. Now, being suddenly ordered to halt all investments must be difficult for them to accept.
In fact, many Chinese and even European companies have suffered greatly in India. Major international companies like Walmart have left India humiliated. Although India’s 1.4 billion population makes for a large market, it’s not one that just anyone can manage. India's tendency to take advantage of others has persisted for decades, and they never seem to learn from past mistakes! Companies like Xiaomi and Oppo have invested heavily in India, helping to train a large workforce, laying the foundation for Apple’s Foxconn to set up factories in India. And what happens? Xiaomi’s funds get seized.
India faces a severe shortage of electricity and basic infrastructure. China’s Shanghai Electric, with its world-leading ultra-supercritical thermal power technology, helped India build an advanced large-scale power plant to address this shortage. Not only did we not get a penny from this project, but India even turned on us and tried to extort billions of dollars. As for how other Indian businessmen deceive domestic exporters, we won’t even go into that. This is a country of scammers, always failing to learn from past mistakes. And now China is even planning to help India build high-speed rail? What are we thinking? We don’t even have enough for our own pensions, so where do we get the money to waste like this? While China’s infrastructure expertise is world-class, we can export infrastructure, but we cannot export the technology! This must never happen! India's goal is to obtain high-speed rail technology for free, and we’re still not seeing through this?
