Sushma talked on foreign travel: 'India also contributed to the strengthening of inter-BRICS cooperation'

Johannesburg. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj expressed the desire of India's contribution towards further strengthening inter-BRICS cooperation. Explain that Sushma has come on a five-day trip to South Africa.

Sushma is participating in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). The meeting is expected to be laid for the annual summit of the Group, which will be held next month in Johannesburg.

India's high commissioner in South Africa and Lesotho, Rikera Kamboj said in the inaugural session of BRICS Foreign Ministers Summit, "Our discussion here will contribute towards further strengthening BRICS cooperation."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Raviish Kumar tweeted with a picture of Sushma Swaraj with the Foreign Ministers of the BRICS countries, "All-dimensional and multi-level collaboration, which will maintain development and multilateralism. Before the Ministerial Conference, Swaraj will be with other Foreign Ministers for the group photo.

Sushma will preside over IBSA
Sushma will also chair the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa). This is another group that is working to deepen cooperation on the big global issues between the three countries.

Discussion on comprehensive cooperation
The External Affairs Minister discussed the strengthening and comprehensive cooperation between India and South Africa in areas such as skill development, agriculture and information technology, along with South African President Cyril Ramphosa, in skill development, agriculture and information technology.
