was the elder brother of former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and the nephew of Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed. You were born on April 28, 1943 in Kanjah, Gujarat. He joined the army in April 1964. During the 1971 war, he was posted as a company commander of the Frontier Force Regiment at the base of Salimanki.
He was awarded the highest military honor from Haidar Nawaza.
