Papaya Nutrition Content
Papaya contains various vitamins such as pro vitamin A carotenoids, beta carotene, vitamin C, B1 (Tiamina), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Pantothenic Acid), B6, B9 (folate), E, and K.
but the most prominent is its vitamin C which reaches 103 percent of the recommended daily requirement, higher than oranges and lemons.
Papaya also contains dietary fiber and various phytochemical compounds including lycopene and polyphenols. In the preliminary study, danielone and fitoalexin were also found in papaya. This fruit also contains pectin commonly used to make jelly.
The content of magnesium, potassium (potassium), and calcium is also found quite high in papaya.
