3 TOURISTS AND THINGS IN NUSA LEMBONGAN, NUSA PENIDA AND NUSA CENINGAN
You feel you've visited all the major tourist attractions in Bali, but still feel something is missing? Are you looking for a hidden paradise in or around Bali? A place where you can avoid the tourist crowds?
All you need to do is take a ferry ride from Sanur or Padangbai, and you will be taken to the islands of Nusa, separated from the mainland of Bali. Still belonging to Bali, the three islands of Nusa consists of larger Nusa Penida, and Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan are smaller.
You will feel as though time stopped here - the way we imagine Bali a few years back, before the tourism industry flooded the island.
Although access to local transportation is not so easy, because the tracks can be rocky and slick, you will find the greatest natural wonder, and often you may be the only visitor. No need to line up to take a picture.
It's time to get out of your comfort zone and explore the real Bali, untouched and still virgin!
- Visit Broken Sea: PASIH UWUG
Pasih Uwug also got the nickname broken sea, is one of the unique tourist attraction in Nusa Penida which also happens to be a spectacular natural phenomenon.
Why is this place known as the broken sea? The first time you come, you will immediately see the natural gates formed from a rock cliff. The gate - or someone said a hole in the middle of a rocky cliff - was once a cave!
The bottom of the cave has been destroyed, creating a gate that we can see today. The deep cliff holes also make the sea water flow into it - presenting a charming natural pool that can be admired on the other side, and you can even swim in it!
- Cross the ocean between two cliffs: Abyss Zipline at Ceningan Island Resort
Apparently you want to feel the best sensation on this island? You can experience 'floating', 'sea', 'zipline' experiences, and 'cliff' all in one activity - The Abyss Zipline.
Nusa Ceningan and its twin, Nusa Lembongan, are renowned for its cliffs and waves. Just imagine enjoying the beautiful scenery while gliding using a zipline. Cool, is not it?
There are staff that ensure safety, and you will be attached to a rope flanked by two wires. But of course, there is always the possibility of danger. That's why this is a thrill ride!
- Tree Tree House of Molenteng (not for the fear of heights!)
Located right at the tip of Nusa Penida and overlooking Atuh Beach - this beautiful tree house adds to the island's other uniqueness, presenting breathtaking views of Bali's landscape.
