Chess is a game played on a square board divided into 64 squares, with 32 chess pieces equally divided in light ("white") and dark ("black") colors. This game is played by two people. Before the game, players must know the rules of chess, then choose the color of chess that will be played. Each player has 16 pieces of chess with different shapes and names to play: one kings, one minister, two pairs, two horses, two elephants, and eight chants. Each chess also has different movement rules. The white fruit holders start the first step, followed by the black fruit holders in turn until the item game is over.During the game, players must move their chess pieces according to the rules, while removing the opposite chess pieces from the game board whenever possible, commonly called "eating". The victory of a player is determined by the success of having a 'checkmate', ie the position when the opposing king can not dodge to be "eaten". In addition to checkmates, a victory can also be obtained if the opponent claims to have given up voluntarily, which is usually due to the amount of unequaled chess pieces, or feel that checkmate is inevitable. The game can also end in a series, called the "mussels".

It is suspected that chess originated in India, sometime before the 7th century, stems from a game called chaturanga. It is suspected that chaturanga is also the beginning of other strategic games such as xiangqi, janggi, and shogi. The rules of the chess-like movement now date from Spain around the end of the fifteenth century; standard chess rules were finally standardized in the 19th century. Wilhelm Steinitz, the first world chess champion, won the title in 1886. Since 1948, the world championships have been organized by FIDE, the world-wide governing body; the current world champion is Magnus Carlsenasal Norway. FIDE also organizes the Women's Chess World Championships, the Children Chess World Championships, the Fast Chess Championship and the Quick, and the Chess Olympics, an international team championship around the world.
