Let's talk about Infections! Decentralized strategies to curb global infectious disease (s) menances.steemCreated with Sketch.

In the last post I shared, I introduced readers to the new theme I would be writing about in the next few weeks – Infection: the ironical situation in the fight against infections. As you would remember, some parts of the science committee have developed smart measures to curb the challenges presented by infections around the globe. In today’s episode, I will share briefly one, amongst the many radical approaches, that was initiated and is current in practice.
As part of the strategies adopted to fight infectious diseases, many European states have granted supports in training international students to become qualified future scientists. Special preferences are always given to people from underdeveloped and developing countries, especially those from tropical regions of the world. Interestingly, many university undergraduate as well as graduates are not aware of this opportunity and struggle so hard to get a good education to become competent in their respective fields. Information, as we know, is Power! No wonder, if you are not informed, you are deformed!

On the other hand, some people always manage to stay informed, and being aware of this opportunity, they cease it as soon as possible to make the best use of it.

Now, what is the logic behind this strategy adopted to curb Infection menaces globally?
If most people understand the theoretical background behind most infections and their causative agents, it would be much easier to manage the situation globally than when the knowledge resides only among certain people. It is a way of empowering everyone to better manage the situation locally rather than having a central location of management. I find this really interesting as it kinda, in a way, relates to the current and hot concept of information technology and money (currencies).
If you would let me deviate a bit, I would say, the concept of decentralization actually started long time ago in different fields, at least in Science, as I see it. Many people seem to go all crazy about Blockchain tech introduction of decentralization, which of course is not bad, but hey – this idea has been in place for long – it simply was not obviously named – DECENTRALIZATION!

As we move on through my series of write up, it is my pleasure to gradually bring to the awareness of readers, the various ways ‘decentralized concepts’ have actually been in existence for long.

Now, coming back to where I deviated from, most European states have given incentives so that people would accept this strategy of curbing infections and it has really worked well since the introduction and implementation. One, amongst the many incentives, is the tuition free education in many European states, especially Germany and the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden). Many more European states still offer this awesome opportunity.

I am not only writing from knowledge but also from experience, actually, still in the experience – lol! Sharing outta experience!
Inasmuch as this may not be news to some people, there are millions of upcoming scientists out there that are not aware of this opportunity. It would be my utmost pleasure to share as much as I know about this strategy to curb infection globally so that many people will benefit from it.
In my next write up, I will shed more light on this awesome opportunity and introduce us to another incentive.
