I was checking out the president's Twitter feed this morning when I came across a disturbing tweet.
The other day I got a weather alert on my phone and I didn't like it. I can tell it's raining and I don't need it to sound like WWIII has broken out. I tried to turn it off but I got another one later. I think I can turn weather alerts off though but now today I see this. For some reason it rubs me the wrong way, seems Orwellian for some reason. I don't like the government being able to take over my device, does anyone else have a problem with this?

I'm not particularly happy about it either.
It MIGHT not be too bad if it's not abused.
BUT....it's government...so we know it will be.
Presidential Alert: America is great again! I was thinking before reading his twitter about what would happen if they shut down his twitter account, I guess this could always be a back up! At 4 AM every American can receive the presidents uncensored thoughts.
I'd actually LIKE to receive 'his uncensored thought'.

you don't have to sign in to read his tweets, if you have never checked out the presidents feed you are really missing out, it's amazing. I don't do twitter either but I like to keep up with what the president is saying uncensored from time to time

exactly but the media never covers those or any of their positive news and messages.
All of these things should be opt-in.
The govern-cements should have a central place where you can see all the alerts. And your computer should be able to sort them by relevance.
But, this once again proves that you do not own your own phone.
You are the the last one in line.
The bottom of the list.
Even hackers are above you.

My phone was free too... it also has the attributes of being invisible and non-existent.
