Hey! News Flash!! Mainly for my International Friends who are being sold fake news.

20182712192138.coffeeclutch.png

Just flashing through here real quick because I'm getting questions from my International friends. Life is good. I'll soon let you in on what I've been doing.

The federal government can pretty much stay closed. Very few of us are missing them.

It's a big dog and pony show. They don't close down stuff that matters. We are getting our mail and our weather reports. The Internet still works. The grocery stores are still stocked. It's not chaos in the streets (well not worse than normal). These federal government shutdowns happen all. the. time. It's No. Big. Deal.

The FED is the problem. It's not Trump's tweets.

OMG I don't know where it got started that Trump's tweets were causing chaos in the markets.

(Technical note: The real problem is the debt but that's a huge scary topic we're not discussing.)

I'm willing to bet that less than 1 in 1,000 US citizens even look at Trump's tweets ... that may actually represent the number of people that actually remember once a week that Trump has a Twitter account (unless prompted by the tv). Normal people don't even use Twitter. It's not really a thing among the average person. Honest. Twitter is an echo chamber of SJW's, media companies, sellers, and SEO specialists. That's it. No one I know is constantly using Twitter. I have lived in 2 areas where I tried to follow real actual people on Twitter. It was a complete and utter fail.

I dunno. Maybe people in finance aren't normal .... That's food for thought. Maybe they are crazy enough to run their finances based on emotional responses to President Trump. Ok. I'm stopping. This is getting scary. People who are driven by emotional responses to President Trump are super scary. Avoid these people. Protect your sanity. Don't be one of them.

President's Trump's Tweets are interesting. The people who are rabidly attacking him are revealing their deep derangement. It's just not healthy to hate anyone so badly that they can say, "The sky is blue," and you must instantly change science to prove the sky is never ever ever blue. That's how these Trump haters are. He knows it. He messes with them. The rest of us can't remember to pay attention. But when it catches our attention, it is amusing.

In the economy indicators that the American People can control, things are looking good:

  1. We currently have more job openings than there are people searching for jobs.
  2. Even without my husband and I participating in Christmas, the US just had it's most lavish Christmas spending season in six years.

And evidently the stock market likes this -- for the day, at least.

And here's an idea for some to explore. I briefly heard someone mention that the US daily life is not as tied to the stock market behaviors as it once was. I can't remember who was saying it and I didn't get to hear them expand on this. But I did begin to consider that there is a vast sea of people who are conducting business privately, without selling shares of their company. These people have at their fingertips amazing abilities via computing power, Internet marketing, and even on-demand printing of manufactured parts via 3D printers. Plus the US has become energy independent in the last few months. (Thank you President Trump!)

People in the US are Mostly done with and over the idea of fighting in the Middle East.

Most of us can't figure out what the hysteria is over pulling 2000 soldiers out of Syria. Appallingly, some of the solutions people want in the Middle East would actually require a complete and utter US take-over. Of course, this is rumored to have been the plan of the old guard.

Leaving the idea of a complete US take over in the dust (leaving it behind quickly) evidently dashes a great many people's dreams.

Also, there's some people who feel the need to hate President Trump more than they hate war. Just that simple.

It is true that the News companies are dependent on Fake News.

Fear Sells.

Anger Sells.

They sell news better than love and peace.

News corporations are trying to make money by increasing your chances of heart attack, stroke, and mental breakdown.

That's it. Pure and simple.

Oh wait and ... they are owned by the people who want to rule the entire world. If you believe in that sort of thing.

CNN really is the worst I think. I'm pretty sure they are down to truly rabid Trump haters and old people in nursing homes for audiences.

FoxNews is not entirely trustworthy, either. They're just currently making money by being "Not them, Not CNN, Not the worst."

Is there trustworthy news sources?

hmmm. Your own two eyes? The eyes of a friend?

Really. If you can find people on Social Media who are telling their stories, that's where the news is. People are building their own homes or traveling the country in vans, trailers, and RV's. People are being motivational and crafting some of the most amazing arts. People are gaming and building virtual environments. People are caring for their families. Woven into all of this life is where you'll find the truth about how things that are happening in our government are affecting people in their normal lives. Mostly you will hear about how we're being choked to death by government controls and meddling. This is something President Trump is trying very hard to reduce. The problem is that 90% of these government regulations are made and overseen by people we did not elect -- people who are fighting President Trump at every turn because their cushy jobs and power depend on him failing.

Other sources

When you hear rumors, go straight to the source.

The White House has a web site. https://www.whitehouse.gov/ You can actually read all the Press Releases / Press Conferences and you can read the Presidential Orders / Actions.

The US Congress has their own web site. https://www.congress.gov/
It is loaded with readable info on legislation etc etc.
And you can watch the repulsive drivel and power struggles that happen in the US Congress in a live stream so painful you'll want to tell them all, "You're Fired!"

All companies have ways to spin their news too. Go look at their own web sites.

Of course, if you're looking for amusement, you can read President Trump's Tweets.

Here's how badly we the people want the wall.

Why I'm not writing at the moment.

I have a huge problem. I lied. This was not a quick note at all. I started this thing like 3.5 hours ago. Yes. There have been some breaks. The biggest problem is any time I want to insert a link, I spend easily 15 to 20 minutes being amazed by the Internet (or befuddled by search) before I locate the exact link I want.

And then I have to go back and take out or explain my Southern English.

And then I have to go back and see if my sentences make sense at all anyway.

When I write about political events/ info, I also spend a lot of time censoring my huge desire to call certain types of people "idiots," "sheeple," "brain eating zombies." And other phrases.

And ... then ... the photo.

I have some projects in the works that I have to tend to. I miss you STEEMians but I need more than 50 cents a day. Ok. I need more than $2 a day. But sometimes, some things just have to be addressed.
