I think I'll do a separate post about the forklift, the manure and the chickens.
As far as the boxer is concerned, he is now in jail awaiting trial.
Apparently the straw that broke the camel's back is when he saw a woman on the ground beaten by the police, and he pulled them off her. From her account, she is in fragile health, with breast cancer and lung issues, and he saved her life.
In this context at least, he is an honorable chap. He turned himself in.
But the plot thickens, as there are scandals brewing. Some funds were raised for his legal costs and help out his family. That was shut down after an outcry from a minister who also wanted the names of all the people who contributed as they were "accomplices" to his misdeeds. Another scandal is concerns double standards. Macron's friend, lover, bodyguard, head of security, whatever you want to call it, by the name of Benalla was caught on video at a demonstration in May, impersonating a police officer and beating up people. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Anyway, he is under (slooooooooooow) investigation but not in jail, and a couple of weeks ago he was busted with two diplomatic passports (at least one of them issued after he was supposedly fired from the Elysee after the May incident) doing business in Chad a couple of week before Macron went there. There's a lot of other equally outrageous stuff going on. You just can't make this shit up.

I know, I am keeping up with it, and in contact with the French, viva Le France. :-)
