An explosive compound like the one found in Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock’s car and home is believed to have been used last year in an alleged terrorist bombing in New York City.

Authorities say they recovered an undisclosed amount of the compound known as Tannerite from Paddock’s home in Mesquite and 50 pounds from his car parked at Mandalay Bay, where he used high-powered firearms to mow down concertgoers at the adjacent Route 91 Harvest festival on Sunday.

But let's not jump to conclusions, here. The article states that Paddock's explosives were like the one used in the NYC terror attack, not that they were from the same batch.

Taggants can be used to trace the origin of an explosive substance

These have been considered for introduction in industrial explosives so that the manufacturer and batch number can be determined if they are used illegally. The taggant must survive the detonation of the product and not be contaminated by the environment afterwards. Several different technologies have been considered, but the most common are microscopic polymer/metallic particles. Taggant evidence was crucial in the 1980 conviction of James L. McFillin in Maryland for the truck bombing murder of Nathan A. Allen, Sr

So, the question: Is there a common source of manufacture between the jihadist bombing in NYC, and Paddock's stockpile of Tannerite?

If so, are the from the same time of manufacture?
