Should Trump Fire Sessions? I say YES

Will Trump fire Sessions? Should he? Let's look at this from a perspective of "getting the job done"

The Mueller Team and Obstruction of Justice

Sessions has done nothing to reign in Mueller's witch hunt, which has gone past it's assigned duty and found nothing to suggest Russian-Trump collusion

Legal Insurrection:
Mueller found the man (Trump), now he’ll find the crime

"The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James B. Comey in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including: (i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and (ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and (iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a)."

Mueller's Russia Probe Is A Political Hit Job: Either Rein Him In, Or Fire Him

This isn't supposed to happen under American law, where a person can be given the task of an open investigation on someone with the end-goal of finding something, anything, that he or she has ever done that is illegal. That's the kind of thing that was routinely done in places like the Soviet Union, in which laws meant nothing and ideology and politics everything.

When Mueller was first named to look into allegations that the Trump campaign had colluded with Russian officials to tilt the election, we thought it was a bad idea driven by the Democrats' rage, not by any real concerns about Russian collusion. After all, when the book on U.S.-Russian/Soviet diplomacy is finally written, it will show collusion was basically a pillar of Democratic foreign policy from the 1970s on — from Teddy Kennedy and Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Now, with his investigation linking the Trump campaign to any kind of actual collusion with the Russian government apparently going nowhere, Mueller has decided to broaden the investigation, according to news reports. If so, it's beyond his brief as a Special Counsel and he should be told to stick to what he's supposed to do.

Conflict of Interest Surrounds The Election Investigation

Perhaps this is why Mueller's legal team is chock full of donators to the Democrat Party, and people who have worked for the Clinton Foundation personally.

Kurt Schlichter, Trump Needs To Be Smart About How He Fires Mueller

Trump must eventually fire Robert Mueller, a partisan tool carrying water for his Establishment pals as he oversees an utterly corrupt “investigation” where the only person we actually know committed any wrongdoing is his bestest buddy Jim Comey.

He has to do it so the American people will see and understand why ending this idiocy is so absolutely necessary to preserve our Republic despite the mainstream media’s best effort to hide the truth.

Sessions has done nothing about the "anonymous" leaks from Mueller's team.

From the Schlichter link,

I keep hearing how Mueller was this squared-away Marine officer, but through these incessant leaks his organization demonstrates a complete lack of both integrity and discipline. Mueller seems unwilling or unable to exercise any kind of leadership over his team of Hillary donors, or to instill a culture of seriousness and impartiality. The continuing misconduct of his out-of-control, ever-expanding fiefdom demonstrates that he must be relieved of command

America government is based on Rule of Law, not by Rule of Unaccountable Deep State, and yet we see more than a team of Hillary's lawyers supporting the Mueller team:

Former FBI Agent: Deep State Exists and Is Trying to Bring Down Trump

Sessions has done nothing about Clinton's "mishandling" of classified data, Soros' funding and organization of political riots, sedition by the Democrat/Deep State alliance, the conspiracy to import illegal aliens, or any other the other corruption and malfeasance of the Democrats:

The crimes committed by the members of the Democratic Party fall into a pattern of "racketeering" activity as defined by RICO. The Democratic Party as a whole may be held accountable for these actions

Sessions is more interested in wasting LE resources on potheads than on America's security needs

The War on Drugs is stupid and unconstitutional on moral grounds, and is a great waste of security assets on practical grounds. It drives a wedge between citizens and the LE community. The biggest wedge is in asset forfeiture...

Glenn Reynolds
Forget Russia. I'd fire Jeff Sessions over civil forfeiture

Attorney General Jeff Sessions wants to steal from you.

Oh, he doesn’t call it that. He calls it “civil forfeiture.” But what it is, is theft by law enforcement. Sessions should be ashamed. If I were president, he’d be fired.

Under “civil forfeiture,” law enforcement can take property from people under the legal fiction that the property itself is guilty of a crime. (“Legal fiction” sounds better than “lie,” but in this case the two terms are near synonyms.) It was originally sold as a tool for going after the assets of drug kingpins, but nowadays it seems to be used against a lot of ordinary Americans who just have things that law enforcement wants.

Again, this goes back to Rule of Law

Other Considerations

Earlier, I referenced older posts of mine discussing whether Trump should move decisively against the Leftists/Deep State; making a decision regarding Sessions is part of that strategy.

Quite frankly, Sessions has failed to do what he needs to do...his main job is enforcing American law and protecting our security.

There will be consequences for confronting these traitors. The never-ending media scandal, the democong dial-a-riot, the quislings of the GOPe...

but Trump must move...

Decision "Soon" on Whether Sessions Will Stay or Go

Comment #175 Just fire everyone in the DOJ and start fresh.
It's constant outrage 24/7, might as well make the outrage useful.

And there is also the possibility that this is Trump's 3D chess

Comment #187 This is all political theater and the press and everyone else is falling for it.
Already Sen. Machin says Sessions should stay. A Democrat insisting Sessions should stay? Do you not see the operation here? Get Dems to publicly say they think Sessions should stay. Then watch as Sessions lays the hammer down on Dems somehow.
As it was said this morning on Fox Business, before Sessions even got in the door at DOJ it was well-known he'd have to recuse himself due to DOJ policy and Sessions' role on the campaign. Do you really think Trump was surprised by Sessions recusal?
And another thing, why would Trump choose the fakenews NYT for revealing his displeasure in Sessions in the first place? Does that make any sense to you?
Get a grip. Sessions not going anywhere. Would Trump really want Sessions to go and then have to appoint someone else that will take months? I just cannot imagine that at all. All over some ridiculous notion that Sessions hasn't gone after Clinton or Dems?
My guess is Sessions has been working on that stuff behind the scenes, quietly and waiting for the right moment to strike.

While I accept the possibility of the 3D scenario, I feel that Trump would best serve this country by enforcing the law: the full weight of the DOJ should be in cracking the Clinton Crime Ring, rounding up all the sanctuary city politicians under 8 USC 1324, bagging Soros for funding violent riots, and rolling up the entire web of democong subversion up under RICO

I don't really care how many upper-middle class bobbleheads are upset by enforcing the law, and I don't care how many urban riots there are (it's why God invented the riot gun, after all)

Let's get some teeth into cleaning this country up...if Sessions wasn't willing to do that, p*ss on him

Article II, Section I of the Constitution:

"The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States."

The buck stops with Trump.

Is Trump strong enough to fire Sessions?

I agree too.
Why the hell did sessions recuse himself.. then his deputy gets involved and gets mueler going. It was all sabotage from what I see. I think sessions is being a double agent or something. it makes no sense any of it.

Sessions needs to be fired. He's part of the establishment and fails to prosecute crimes that Trump promised. Revised or not, fire him, put Trey Gowdy as AG and let him prosecute everyone. Just because you're a politician doesn't mean you can get away with crimes. If you or I did some of these things, we'd have been in jail years ago.

There shouldn't be two classes of citizens when it comes to adherence to the law.

I'm not sure if Sessions is a double-agent, or if he was simply too weak to tell the democong and his fellow GOP senators to fuck off.

I'd like to see that 3D scenario pan out, but I'm not holding any faith in it

I see we agree LOL

Yup, fire him and watch the media go nuts. Should be at least entertaining to see how wacked out the media can get.

yeah, the media randomly hates sessions and calls him a racist forever(even though he isn't). Now that he is going to potentially get fired they defend him.... they are so dumb.

the media is going to go nuts over everything that does not advance their own "Political Class" agenda

Should be at least entertaining to see how wacked out the media can get.

LOL

Sessions probably got paid off by the clintons, I'm convinced that James Comey was, the Clintons met with his wife. after that were not prosecuted.

I am convinced by it too. It realy makes no sense why sessions recused himself and then all the crap his deputy AG did. seems like it was a setup

Comey was a long time Clinton hack; he's gone back and forth from Justice to private firms with connection to the Clinton Foundation; before his latest appointment to the FBI, he was a director at HSBC, a bank that was "fined" lightly for money laundering...and a bank that donated directly to the Clinton Foundation

glad he was fired, hopefully clintons go to prison one day

Yes, he should be fired. Bring in Trey Gowdy!

Gowdy is good, but we need someone who isnt sitting in Congress now; maybe somebody with a background in prosecuting RICO and/or conspiracy cases; anti-Mafia or anti-pedo; someone with a noted hostility to the democong and even better if they weren't big fans of the gope either ;>

Yeah, I'm not plugged in enough to come up with a better candidate. I hear Trump is thinking of calling Rudy Giuliani . It'll be stop and frisk all across Americastan.

stop and frisk was based on some pretty clear indicators of criminal activity; Bloomberg (who opposed the policy) issued some guidance that extended Guliani's stop and frisk policy to pretty much any minority on the street. sabotage by overestension.

even so, Gukliani's model worked; I have to dig for it, but somewhere in my reference DB and on my graed school blog I've got some material that shows how it worked, why it worked, and how Bloomberg made it a target for propaganda

https://www.zotero.org/stevedisme/items

Honestly, I don't care if it works. I'm in the camp that says it isn't worth trading even a little liberty for security. I hate dealing with the police under any circumstances, and I would never voluntarily live somewhere that I could be commanded to submit to molestation for nothing.

I'll never be happy with government, though. At heart I'm an anarchist. I don't want or need government's protection. I'll take it since I have to pay for it, but I'd vote it gone in a heartbeat.

I understand

I admit it's always easier to sell someone else's liberty down the river, and not think of the overall consequences

thanks for the food for thought!

Good post! Hindsight being 20/20, I don't think he should have taken any existing politician. In your post, you mention "leftist/deep state"- I am starting to see that there is a "conservative (rightist)" deep state as well.

The Conservatives have a majority in both houses but refuse to do anything meaningful. I think that they are more interested in maintaining status quo and preserving their positions than they are in serving their constituents.

So I am for the "the Repeal and Replace" all of them!

I wouldn't call them Conservatives although the pretend to be so. They continually vote against what conservatives want.

If they were actually conservatives things would be much easier now!

I don't have a full definition of what the Deep State is; it goes beyond the security community, and oh yes, there are plenty of Republicans that support it (RINO -Republican In Name Only, GOP Establishment); even past that the Republicans are a politcal party, not an ideological movement...corruption is endemic where there is power...

thanks for the info, I not really sure what it all means but I'm getting smarter :)

it is really hard to get a handle on all this; there is stuff we don't see, there are misinformation strategies on both sides, and self-interest always comes before duty (for most people)

  • years of reading and remembering past events and investigating how it really turned out years later.

I think the average person will never know what we know. They are all just wage slaves. Unaware and compliant citizenry. As Podesta said(i think it was him).

Sessions is a part of the Washington establishment... If Trump wants to drain the swamp- he better start with his own administration... Fire them all!

I had high hopes for Sessions at the beginning; especially in re to illegal immigration

wouldn't it be a kick for Trump to just deputize oath keepers/ III%'rs, etc, and say "clean up Washington"? LOL

Sessions is an insider... he's not going to turn on his buddies, certainly not for an outsider... Bring on the Bikers!!!

When is the next Million Bike March? (tho I think they called it something different)

Not sure, but my bicycle is oiled and ready!

LOL

hope you have a little bell on the handlebars to show them you mean BIDNESS!

Absolutely... I even have a horn that you squeeze to really impress them!

LOL

just dont slap a feminist with it!

or if you were talking about LOUD

Once again Trump is tempted to do the right thing for the wrong reasons. I would love him to get the boot, mainly due to his regressive cannabis policy. That said one thing I hate about Trumps whiny twitter thread is when he complains about something that is actually completely under his control. TRUMP IS THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE! He has the authority to appoint or not appoint anyone he wants to any of these position. While it's certainly prudent to have most of these delegations of power, that's what they are. Delegations of executive power. He does like what sessions is doing? Fire him and quit complaining about it!!!

I have a sneaky suspicion that Trump is going to pull off something that demands a lot of loud (and aggressive) public support. Hence the Twitter end-around the Political Class; I haven't looked at the likelihood of this as his game plan yet

realDonaldTrump Donald J. Trump tweeted @ 25 Jul 2017 - 10:12 UTC

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!
