Fortunately I have not seen a similar move afoot in my home state of Oregon, despite the communists in power here today. I hope that nominal resistance to such a move remains potential here. There is a dichotomy between the leftist cities of Portland, Salem, and Eugene and the essentially rural rest of the state, that any such move will weaponize.

I don't exaggerate when I say weaponize either. In Grants Pass, for example, the culture is such that it is more common than not to see business owners strapped at all times. It's also shall issue state, and far more people affect concealed carry, particularly in the aforementioned cities, to avoid the confrontations with snowflakes that expect the world to be a safe space catering to their inability to cope with reality.

Oregon is not going to be a pushover for this tyrannical imposition of federal power, no matter what the commies want.
