Love is a weapon - How people reflect their government
A professor was big on culture and spoke of athenian theatre between dative conjugations. A mask on a stick was the performer's means to portray the character; the mask was the persona. Acting as a person, we have that same cover albeit now primarily in a commercial environment. We use the cover of a corporation to engage the game of commerce. When persona is a definition of self, image is everything.
If governments act without the cover of the international community, its obvious who is liable. The International Coalition is harder to prosecute in court, directors of a corporation are almost never liable for damage caused by their machines. Getting a claim on the director's car is unfathomable because they're covered by the veil of the corporation, the liability dilutes over the shareholder directory.
Strong arm tactics backed by military encourage compliance. Pompeo and Mattis visited India last week, not on a listening tour. India has increased Iranian oil imports by 84% and said they will continue. India is buying Russian helicopters. Surely the two spoke encouragingly about compliance to the dictate while showing no regard for India's interests. Techniques routinely include offers of color revolutions, murder of specific children may have been mentioned, but what didn't happen is an attempt to consider India's interests.
I notice family members often do the same. Heavy handed "or else" language forces compliance. Murder isn't a real option so they're stuck with a limited arsenal. The common choice is to with hold love. Love becomes a weapon to force compliance. Its not that they stopped caring, its that they start acting--pretending--like they don't care. Sometimes calling in the others to join them.
While old age often frames a situation with the light of decency, that isn't the model of modern government. At no time does the USG suggest to Iran that bygones have a meal together, instead its ever growing pointed weapons and further disassociation. Capitulation is weakness.
If modern government covers illegal communications via private servers, than a decent government would open their servers. If small interest groups are able to dictate foreign policy in modern government, then in decent gov, small interest groups would have little say. If the federal government is willing to dictate common-core education, then a decent government would allow professionals the opportunity to discover new paths.
Since Hammurabi, governments have taken a little from everyone to support the military and the desolate, maybe socialism is the idea to take a little more? Based on recent numbers of accelerating wealth concentration, the current system clearly helps the executive class far more than the homeless. The current system can't hardly buy a public bathroom. Surely no one thinks that giving more to this same team is going to make things better, right?
Maybe we should advocate to steal from the super wealthy. Maybe this is socialism today. If so, why the advocacy for a global system that allows the elite to escape?
Team Dem is just another religion. Like Sunni Islam, theory is that good people up top are who's actions we should try to replicate. However the Orange Jesus is just another machismo white male boomer who put all his faith in the USD and so far its paid off. And because it worked for him it should also work for us. Be smarter! Work longer! These are the real slogans of the drumpsters all while their heroes take 30% of the top of our pay check then tax all imports by 25% with state and local taxes to boot.
The answer is not to work harder. The answer is to stop letting these ivory tower executives control our revenue from afar. There is no reason that government needs to be more than 100 miles away, there is no reason that I fund a military force to work outside my zone. Anyone using live ammo more than 100 miles from their home is probably committing some kind of war crime although whitewashed by paymasters who somehow own the ground beneath my feet. Silent about Yemen I'm super busy with Kavenausea. Its what My Team® is talking about.
We all want something to cling to. Family, church membership, a political party. When we select one, we try to emulate their leaders. When I was little I wanted to be like a couple sports figures and was mesmerized by the prospect of meeting them in real life. its hard for me to accept that these once idols of mine are really just best playing a controlled game. The ones that get to the major leagues or on the supreme court are those who were most able to repeat executive slogans and then really seem to believe them too.
Its easy to believe in something that thinks just like me, however, to believe in their thing, I kinda have to think like them. And the people on the tv seem like they really do. Kavenaugh almost surely believes the federal government should have power to incarcerate plant-bearing felons. Joe Arpaio is what they deserve. If they make a few MayTags while they're there, then probably it will do them some good. The more we value membership on Team Republocrat, the more likely we are to discount the plight of Palestinians and thank the military for their service.
Buddy from Syria said that before 2011 there were no taxes,. Healthcare and education (through grad school) were all paid by oil revenues. No wonder a million had to die.
