What team decides your perspective?
Tonight we are hosting four liberals. One of my first times ever I have an opportunity to really hear directly from the modern left. If my job is to not offend anyone, I'll have to be quiet more often than I want. If I manage, it will give me a real opportunity to listen. I honestly fear what I'm about to hear.
To keep conversation healthy and civilized, normal people talk about something else. I've never really managed that and I suspect it won't start tonight. Lately I'm fascinated by geopolitics because its changing so rapidly these last couple years and it will inevitably bubble over.
One confirmed guest finished grad school in Sweden then spent 20 years in California. He wants to help refugees, he wants to share wealth, and uses buzzwords like, "There must be a way to get him out of there." When I asked what he knew of Mike Pence--favorite of the establishment--he's better than Donald because less misogynist? I don't know and apparently neither does anyone else. Sweden starts voting in the next couple hours, and AfS is going to be mentioned tonight. That is guaranteed.
I postulate the three teams of America:
Neocons candy together during funerals for warlords. The purple party shows resolve by lauding GWB on Ellen primetime, they advocate open borders and Responsibility To Protect®, they fear evil Dr. Putler© because Nemstov? Not clear but they know he's bad like Madero and Assad.
Team 2, the Socialists. They seek to force others to pay for their important charities. I can believe in charity, socialists feel obligated to make sure I pay to the right ones. Being able to donate to my wife's charity (thus exonerating my social obligations) will inevitably lead to the death of the state. And chaos.
Deplorables have any remaining opinion. It doesn't really matter what opinion because anything less than full-team ideological acceptance means complete extradition from the club. Deplorable are everyone except the socialists and neocons.
Before the 2016 primaries I was trolling an associate's fb page and noticed a convo about a local (to them) congressional primary. I forget most, except "I understand after the primaries, its all hands in the same direction, but we're allowed to disagree in the run-up."
Allowed to disagree? That needed to be said? Seems questioning was not being allowed, prematurely. Really I believe this is the one foundational key psy-op being planted since at least I can remember, any dissent is met with ostracization.
For very socially conscious people, those who really treasure being accepted by a community, being cut-off is unthinkable. Based on one's own perceived sense of relative authority, one has a willingness to combat another provided the chance of success is sufficiently high relative to the risk of loss. Or, with a very high level of pre-existing social status, facts and form are less significant than to a prospective up and comer. The old dog can ignore punctuation and even logic, the challenger needs citations with duey-decimal reference in proper liturgical order. And even then, challenging the social order remains virtually impossible. Not because people have finally figured out the right answer, instead people are adverse to challenging the existing order because the chance of being ostracized is extremely high.
Team democrat generally runs a socialist sheepdog to rally troops back to the neocons, but its going to stop or has already stopped working. Starting in 2020 the Socialist Party of America is going to split a chunk off the vote. Kayne single handedly broke a huge chunk of black men free, (presidential support has gone from 17% to 35% since), and next up is the Socialists of America. Their membership has tripled in the last year because too many people see the socialist candidate lose to the globalist because superPAC and outright fraud, proving again that no matter who you vote for, you always get John McCain.
I'd love to see the deplorables split into a couple factions, but there are not enough on the fringe. Its currently like the drumpsters conceded the neocon platforms to the centrists and found their own tea party voice. Since the election, its become okay to question the government narratives; what was once called conspiracy is now a sad reflection for Joe Statist. They now must admit that 2 planes cannot destroy 3 buildings and John Podesta is a criminal, and the drumpsters are vindicated like were minorities after Obama's original win.
The team had spoken. To be on the team, one must include all the following statements: Truth is fiction, white is black, up is down, and your dissent will not be tolerated.

photos are from a parade in Houma Louisiana. For this one, people on the floats throw vegetables. It fetches back to the original origins of the mardi gras parades.
A music band would assemble and follow a wagon. Just before lent began, people would put their left overs on the wagon and collectively have one last meal. The forty day fast that followed mardi gras allowed the grasses and lettuces to sprout and develop such that people didn't graze their new crops right down to the dirt. So the legend would have it at least.
EDIT: Except the first photo. That is from some california demonstration that I happened past. Didn't really stay to discover the message.
