The Future Of Security Authentication?
Are you still using a password to log in to your accounts online? It turns out that may not be the best move security-wise. Passwords were invented to meter time on a shared server, not to protect the information on the shared server. Therefore passwords were never meant to be secure because they rely on shared secrets, and even multi factor authentication is just multiple shared secrets, so that’s not much better. So how can we authenticate users in a better, more secure way?
Asymmetric cryptography is the authentication method of the future that is available now. This technology relies on security certificates on your device and determines that you are who you say you are based on your device’s security posture, location, IP address, and more. This type of security protocol is better than other methods because it’s both secure and easy for the user to employ.
