Financially Independent at the age of 20 years
Hamza is a young boy living in my neighborhood. I have been in contact with his family since almost eight years. Closer contact with his family revealed that poor boy and his family was facing domestic violence at the hands of head of the family. Hamza’s father is a person that we can call psychopath or a wicked person with no sense of responsibility and sincerity towards his immediate family. This family has struggled lifelong in facing all the destructive moves of this person, Hamza’s mother is a brave women that kept all her children on track and managed to save herself and her children from that toxic person. Well! it wasn’t effort of a single person to come out of that situation but as is understood elders have to take more responsibility so Hamza had to accept the challenge. I have seen his journey from working in a burger shop to Amazon reseller in these eight years. Tiring efforts of day and night has paid back Hamza with not only monetary gain but a lot of respect in his circle.
“There were days when I used to work in a burger shop and gather fee for my school”, recalls Hamza. He was once thrown out of his home by his father in a tender age of 13 years because he informed his relatives of how his father treats his mother and siblings. It was the time when Hamza had no other choice than sleeping on footpath. Once a person threw some pennies mistaking him for a beggar. Hamza says I knew this is not what I want in life, I eft the money there and kept making ways for myself. In his journey he spent many sleepless nights, that boys of his age use to do for fun but Hamza was spending sleepless nights out of necessity.
He started tuition center at home, people trusted him because of his hard work and individual attention to every student but there too he faced problem from his psychopath father but stoic in the face of challenges Hamza came out of that situation too. He has good income from his tuition center but during the lock down period due to pandemic his income went to quite nominal. Hamza like always looked for extra ways of income and started working online. He is alhumdullilah having a team working with him. The boy is paying to the people working under his supervision.
We need to learn from these gems in our circles and should brought up our children on the same lines of continuous struggle and being financially independent. It is always a treat meeting Hamza and listening to his stories. Though all of his stories cannot be shared here but one recent story that he told me is of an old man and his young children. It is story of almost every home these days. Old man finds it difficult to manage expenses of his home and children’s education. Though his children can work online in their leisure time and have the required qualification too but they prefer to leave financial burden to their father as they are usually busy in wasting their time on playing online games.
Well Hamza on your part its good going, I know it’s just the beginning even sky is not the limit for you dear.
